how i love downtown KC architecture! I used to have a favorite building when i worked down there. it was right by a gas station as you got off the broadway extension. it think they tore it down...boo.
do you like working downtown? you'll be able to catch the Elvis parade this year!!!
I do not like working downtown, but at least I don't have to live there.
Everybody is an asshole in the city. Everybody is only worried about themselves and how they can avoid compromising with the million other people that work there.
My favorite building is the new downtown courthouse. My second favorite is the kansas city electric company building? The one with the spire that has color changing lights.
The new Federal Courthouse building is a nice modern landmark in the northern downtown area.
That's the Power & Light building you're talking about. It, The Bryant Building, and the old Fidelity Bank Building are prime examples of Art Deco architecture in downtown KC.
Check out this website to learn more about architecture in KC.
Jade and I will be up Sunday late afternoon. You on for bowling?
We are GO for bowling on Sunday.
We have not bowled since the last time we were up there. It will not be pretty....

You might like this video. I haven't been able to watch it here at work, but read a synopsis in a blog that linked it:

I think you mean
Beaux-Artes architecture.
You're absolutely right Anon. Thank you for pointing out my error. I had only learned about it through talking and never investigated further.
