Good News

Finally some good stuff to write about. Folks, my long hard search for a replacement mp3 player has come to an end. Yesterday I received my brand new Creative Zen Touch 20gb mp3 player. My fruitless journey has come to a satisfying conclusion. After what happened with the used players on ebay I just decided to bite the bullet and get a new one. I bought my player from B&H Photo Video.com. I recommend them because of the low prices and the expediency of shipping. I ordered my zen last Thursday and received it Monday - priority mail.

All told, I'm down about $40 resulting from the ebay fiasco. It cost me $15 to ship the second player back. I'm still owed $25 from the first seller, who was a fraud. Paypal is still working on that, so I may get that back too. The third refund is being processed and I'm sure will go through. Other things it cost me were the time (about a month), and credibility with paypal - I've initiated two disputes in a month.

In other good news, today marks the beginning of my vacation. Although I have not yet been employed here for a year, my boss saw fit to allow me 3 days vacation. Tonight Sean and I are leaving for his family's place on Table Rock Lake. I'm really looking forward to 6 days of not stressing about whiney lawyers, not waking up early, and not fighting traffic all day. I see a lot of boating, tubing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddleboating, skipping rocks, sleeping in, xbox, and relaxing in my future. I'll be thinking about you guys at about 10 am tomorrow morning when I'm gently floating in the lake getting some sun, and at 3 pm when I'm swinging from the rope swing, and at the party cove....
