Audacity
When one looks up the definition of audacity they must come across a photo of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. No other leader in the history of the modern world, with the exception of Hitler and Stalin, has shown so much contempt and hatred for the Western world, been so blatantly defiant for no good reason, and has had so much support from the anti-American elements within Western countries. Everybody in the world knows that Ahmadinejad's Iran is giving material, financial and personnel support to Al Qaeda in Iraq. Everybody in the world knows that Ahmadinejad's Iran is enriching Uranium for the purpose of building a fission weapon. Everybody in the world also knows that there is a national event in Iran every Friday evening where people get out in the street to chant 'death to America' while burning American flags and effigies of GWB. This is also the guy who has been quoted as saying that Israel should be 'wiped off the map' and describing the Holocaust as a 'myth'.
I'm sure that most of you are familiar with the recent kidnapping of British troops by the Iranian navy. Is anybody surprised by the fact that fifteen British Sailors and Marines were held captive by the fascist country for 13 days and forced to give 'confessions' of 'guilt' over Iranian television? Has it become an procedural instrument of Iran to use 'hostage diplomacy'? Is terrorism a state policy of Iran?
This is one of the most serious humiliations of the British Navy and Marines in the modern era. It represents a slap in the face to Tony Blair and George Bush by Ahmadinejad. The very worst part of it is that Ahmadinejad will get away with kidnapping, weapons enrichment and terrorism. He will also get what he secretly bargained for in backroom talks for the release of the hostages. It has been the unofficial policy of the Western countries to bargain with Iran in order to free hostages or POW's from detention/humiliation/torture. What are we going to do in a few months when he builds a bomb? What are we going to do in a few years when he's building bombs and selling them to Al Qaeda? When will it finally be time to act?
I'm scared to death that it will take a devastating event with a horrific loss of life to open Western eyes to the immediate threat posed by Ahmadinejad's Iran. It's a good thing for Ahmadinejad that Ross Perot isn't President.

` I don't know - I think there's a 1% chance that Ross Perot would be a bit better. After all, I think Bush is going to go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever for getting us into all this pointless conflict and provoking crazy people like that hate Americans more than ever.
` And speaking of audacity, I think a certain old man showed a whole lot of it tonight by jumping out of the nursing home window and into our yard!
` Probably not as much as Ahmadinejad, though. (May he be hit by one of his own bombs.)
Spoony, that's an extremely radical opinion. I thought you were smarter than that. I've got news for you - the radical islamofascists hate ALL Americans, not just George Bush. They hate the dems who want to pull out of Iraq. They hate Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama. They hate Michael Moore and George Soros. They hate you and me. They hated us before September 2001, and they will continue to hate us no matter what we do. If they had the capacity to do so, they would strike us on American soil as often as possible. Whether you agree with Bush's foreign policy or not, you have to agree that his leadership in the war on terror has critically crippled the capacity of Al Qaeda to attack Americans in America. Do they hate us more because of that? Of Course. I would much rather have them hate us more for destroying their ability to make war than hate us less and conduct terrorist acts on Main Street USA.
This war is going to take place whether you want to particpate or not. If you choose not to participate that doesn't mean that the enemy will capitulate. It does mean that they will be given time to regroup, rearm and replan for their next attack. This enemy is not one that you can 'negotiate' with. They don't want anything we have, they want us all to die.
Ross Perot has a history of getting his people out of Iranian detention without 'paying a ransom'. Blair and Bush could learn a lot from him.
I was talking to a guy at work about this and he commented about the hostages 'well, they're not our people'.
I don't know about you, but I consider the British and the Australians 'our people'. I would imagine that the Brits would have wanted to lead any rescue effort, but I'm sure there would've been US Marines and Sailors involved.
They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer... I can't imagine a closer place for the Iranians or Al Qaeda than burned and used for soil fertilizer. People may criticize Bush but he's the only one that I have seen step up with constructive plans, future plans, any plans, really. I think Hilary would be happy with her thumb up her ass for the rest of her life. It would be nice if America as a whole could come to some common ground... we have to find peace here first or we won't be able to maintain peace when those that hate us strike at us. I don't know about you but the thought of having to learn spanish makes my stomach turn but the thought of learning the traditions of the muslims or wearing a towel on my head makes my nose bleed. Not that it would come to that but... if enough American's want to throw a fit about maintaining civilty now, in the beginning, we may just pull out and allow them time to regroup... and get stronger. It's hard to fight people willing to kill themselves for their God, especially when their God is completely against us and encourages are destruction. I believe that American's are trying to Americanize (rationalize) the thoughts of the Middle East when you can't do so without their mind set. I want it know publicly (or through my brother's blog) that I, for one, have no inention of ever backing down from the threats that terrorists make against this country. If they want to hate us, burn our flag and make attempts on our life, I say bring it on... I'll be here waiting. If they set out to kill us, I won't mind returning the favor! Now I am going to see the Star Spangled Banner, watch baseball and drink some AMERICAN brewed beer!!
Sincerly,
All America
