Declaration of Best Posts
Ladies and Gentlemen. When, in the course of blogging events, it becomes necessary for one blogger to recognize acheivements made by other bloggers, so that the greater than equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the recognition.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that not all blog posts are created equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable qualities, such as logic, reason, and a quest for truth. And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, I pledge to my fellow bloggers my opinion, my comment, and my sacred honor.
Top 5 blog posts of all time:
5: NYC = ME ME ME
I chose this post because it was really the first time that people had disagreements that they felt needed to be aired for the world to see. Although the debate was diminished by personal attacks, this post opened the door for better posts with more civilized debate.
4: And Now for Something Completely Different...
I decided to choose this post because of the opinions stated in the post as well as the opinions stated in the comments. Everything was well thought out and there weren't any personal attacks.
3: The number 3 post of all time was actually 2 posts. They were posted by Amber on BlackPetunia sometime early this year. The posts and comment debate focused on homelessness - causes and cures. The debate was very heated and everybody was passionate about their opinions - this resulted in a record setting number of comments. The biggest tragedy is that the posts are lost forever.
2: Happy Birthday
This post is by far the best and most fitting tribute, or 'ode' to somebody in blogging history. The thoughts are well organized, and the feelings expressed could be described as nothing but completely honest.
1: I haven't forgotten 9/11...
This post is the most relevant blog post in history - for everybody. As I said in my comment on this post; I'm glad you remember 9/11 [Spoony]. I'm glad that you've been able to maintian composure through a very emotional time for all of us and deliver us an objective portrayal of events. Congratulations on #1 Spoony.

I think your awards should be called "The Bloggys". And there should be a banner or graphic each blogger could post somewhere on their blog so the whole world knows they won a "Bloggy." And what about one for "Best comment"? I'm sure you have enough time to wade through all of them, after all.

Your drawing posts were considered because they weren't analytical in nature and you had the guts to put your own artwork on your blog for everybody to see.
Jade, it took me 3 days to do the research for this post. I can't even imagine how long it would take to do a 'best comment' post. Maybe you can give me some examples ;)

Those were great posts. I actually remember all those...as oppossed to the hundreds I've already forgotten, including many of my own.
It makes me feel sad that I deleted all of that. Somewhere deep in the forest a voice is echoing; "Can't we all just get along?" Good posting.
